A Website That Makes It Easy to Give, Learn, and Belong.
A warm, accessible website for NF Ireland — Ireland's national neurofibromatosis charity — built around three audiences: newly diagnosed individuals, existing community members, and donors.
The Problem
NF Ireland is a national charity supporting people living with neurofibromatosis across Ireland. Their previous website didn't reflect the warmth of the community they'd built, nor the importance of the work they were doing. Visitors struggled to find clear information, follow community stories, or make a donation with confidence.
What We Built
A Squarespace website designed around three distinct audiences: people newly diagnosed looking for clear, reassuring information; existing community members wanting to stay connected; and donors looking for a trustworthy way to give. Donation functionality was integrated through Enthuse, giving supporters a straightforward path to contribute directly on-site. The design leaned into warm tones and clean layouts — human and approachable rather than clinical. The NF Ireland team were fully set up to manage the site independently, with guides covering everything from adding new stories to processing donations.
Key Features
- Donation integration via Enthuse
- Squarespace CMS — managed independently by the NF Ireland team
- Audience-led content architecture (diagnosed, community, donors)
- Warm, accessible design appropriate to the subject matter
- Full team training and handover guides
What We Learned
For a charity working with people navigating a medical diagnosis, design has to work as hard as the words. Warmth and clarity aren't competing priorities — they're the same priority. Getting the tone right from the start meant every page carried it through consistently, without extra effort later.
The Opportunity
The approach we used here — clear audience segmentation, accessible design, integrated donation flow, and a CMS the team can own — is directly transferable to other charities and non-profits working to grow their community and funding base.
